A Chinese glass boardwalk cracked right under visitors’ feet

A glass plate from the 1,080 meters-high (3,540 foot-high) glass walkway at Yuntai Mountain’s Geological Park in China was cracked right under visitor’s feet last Monday, after the visitor accidentally dropped a stainless steel cup.

The boardwalk opened to the public on September 20th. Another glass bridge opened to the public just recently in China, over a mountain gorge, so needless to say – many Chinese were troubled with these news.

“Suddenly I heard a loud ‘bang’ and the path under my foot started shaking” – one of the visitors said.
