This homeless bodybuilder is proof that you don’t need to spend big to get into incredible shape. Jacques Sayagh is in his fifties, and despite living on the streets of Paris with no access to a gym, he sculpted an incredible physique.
Footage of Jacques showcasing how he trains went viral two years ago, but his methods remain just as relevant today. The man, who sleeps on the street with his two dogs, has no free weights but utilises resistance bands and his own bodyweight.
Sayagh also improvised suspended slings from which he can perform knee raises, and other exercises to engage his core.
Sayagh says to fuel his body he eats a lot of vegetables ahead of competition, such as cabbage and green beans, and with any cash he can muster he invests in supplements – primarily whey and casein protein. What’s more, he is still competing in 2016…
So next time you think you don’t have the time or money to head to the gym, just think of Jacques. All you really need is the motivation to work out, wherever you are.
