Kilogram of special Turkish honey costs as much as a small car

1

Imagine buying honey for 5,000 Euros per kilogram. Well, that’s ‘Elvish’, the most expensive honey in the world produced in Turkey.

The special honey comes from an 18-hundred-meter deep cave in the Saricayir valley near Turkey’s northeastern city of Artvin. The high price is because of the natural minerals in the cave which add to the product’s quality and value. Gunay Gunduz, a local bee-keeper says the honey can be used both as medicine and food.
