They say the golden rule for water consumption is to drink 8 8 ounce glasses of water a day. But even that might be insufficient water consumption. The general rule of thumb I follow is to halve your body weight and drink that many ounces of water in a day. So if you weigh 160 pounds, you’ll want to drink 80 ounces of water a day. At least! That’s quite a bit more than the 64 ounces that drinking 8 glasses of water a day would provide.
