Woman hit’s the casino Jackpot with a $8 Million win, but Casino doesn’t want to pay

Veronica Castillo put $100 in a slot machine in at Lucky Eagle Casino in Oregon, U.S., and couldn’t believe her luck when she hit the jackpot and won $8 million. However, this joy and excitement soon enough was replaced by sorrow and outrage, when the casino staff approached her and said she couldn’t get any of it.

According to the casino staff, it  was a result of a machine malfunction, so instead, she was given a $80 ticket.

Speaking to KOIN 6 News, Veronica said:

I was very excited, happy. Then I couldn’t believe it. They shut off the machine, took it away, printed out a ticket and gave me $80.

The reports do show that the slot machines have stickers that protect them from a case of malfunction, saying it voids all pays and plays. However, Veronica isn’t convinced.

She added:

To me, it’s cheating, may even be fraudulent. My first thought was, how many people has this happened to? They think they won, then they’re going away empty-handed.

She is now working with an attorney and win her money through a court case.
